SMITHVILLE – The Herzog Foundation has awarded $ 2.758 million in grants to stimulate growth and increase enrollment at six Christian schools in Missouri, Kansas and Tennessee.

The Northland Christian Education System is one of six beneficiaries, along with St. Joseph’s Christian School. Northland Christian Schools is located at 10500 N. Arrowhead Trafficway, Kansas City.

“Across the country, Christian schools have made it their mission to instill Bible values ​​in their students while teaching them to be productive citizens and preparing them for their careers,” said a statement from the foundation.

“We are extremely happy and honored to partner with schools that are dedicated to increasing the number of students receiving a Christian education,” said Todd Graves, president of the Herzog Foundation. “Stan Herzog had a vision to transform and increase enrollment in Christian schools across our country. These grants are a great first step, and thanks to these schools, more students will benefit from a quality education.

The mission of the Stanley M. Herzog Charitable Foundation is to catalyze and accelerate the development of quality, Christ-centered education, Kindergarten to Grade 12. Herzog has left hundreds of millions of dollars to benefit religious education nationwide, with a focus on Northwestern Missouri. The Herzog Foundation is building an approximately 18,000 square foot campus in Smithville.
