Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam Theater built a musical project for young people with a musical piece “Alice in Wonderland” at a invitation to cooperation Pacific Ocean Partners (POP) and the Australian Institute of Music.
The information was announced by the theater on June 29 in Hanoi.
It is hoped that the musical will contribute to the orientation of the cultural and aesthetic values of young people, creating the conditions for them to develop their artistic talent.
According to meritorious artist Nguyen Xuan Bac, director of Vietnam Theater, it is a passionate musical project of theater artists and their Australian partners.
The project should help young people approach the cultural and artistic quintessence not only of Vietnam, but also of other countries in the world, he added.
“Alice in Wonderlandis a children’s novel by British author Charles Lutwidge Dodgson. Published in 1886, it is one of the best known and most popular works of fiction in English. The novel, which conveys many human values, moral lessons and life principles, has been translated into Vietnamese under many different names.
The musical will be directed by the young director Dieu My. The premiere is scheduled for October at the Hanoi Opera./.
